Lambs to Loch Views
Our second full day in Scotland was filled with beautiful landscapes and charming villages.
Morning on the Farm: lennox of lomond ðŸ‘
We began our morning with a scenic visit to Lennox of Lomond, a working farm dating back to 1750. It was lambing season, and we got to meet some of the newborns! The rolling green hills surrounded by the beauty of Loch Lomond and the crisp Highland air, was just what I needed. The family shared some tea, coffee, and some fresh baked treats with us, including mom’s famous shortbread. They also now offer a few lodges with hot tubs featuring the amazing views for a great getaway.

Mid-Morning Stop: Argyll Forest Park 🌲Â
We continued our drive with a quick stop at Argyll Forest Park, the perfect place to stretch our legs and take in the views.

Lunch and Leisure in Inveraray
Next up was a few hours of free time in the charming town of Inveraray, nestled on the banks of Loch Fyne. I wandered into a few shops, then strolled along the waterfront before stopped at the cozy Inveraray Inn for lunch. I had a traditional steak pie with mashed potatoes and it was delicious.

Afternoon Immersion: Kilmartin Museum & Glen
Our route then led us to Kilmartin Glen, one of Scotland’s richest prehistoric landscapes. We explored the Kilmartin Museum and walked through cemetery grounds next door.

Highland Hospitality: Loch Melfort Hotel ðŸ®
By evening, we arrived at the Loch Melfort Hotel, and wow — what a way to end the day. This beautiful seaside house greeted us with panoramic views of the water, beach area, walking trails, a coffee shop, patio, peaceful gardens, and best of all….highland cows! Luckily, this was our home for three nights.

Stay tuned for what’s next!
