Morning on the Water: Dolphin spirit Cruise

We kicked off the day with a cruise hoping to catch a glimpse of the famous bottlenose dolphins. And yes — we did spot dolphins! We were so lucky to see them. I started out viewing on the top deck however, while we were making our way back I ended up sitting inside since it was quite chilly.

AfternooN: Culloden Battlefield

Next, we made our way to Culloden Battlefield, the site of the 1746 clash between the Jacobite forces and the British army — the final battle fought on British soil.

Evening in Inverness

Back in Inverness for the evening, I wrapped up the day by taking a walk, did a little shopping, and ended at the pharmacy. Unfortunately, a lot of us passed along a stomach bug on this trip and I was bummed to skip out on a lively visit to Hootananny, a popular pub known for its live traditional Scottish music.
