Neuchatel, Switzerland
Day 14 – From the Highlands to the Alps: Neuchâtel Charm & Swiss Wine
My second day in Switzerland started with a guided walking tour through the heart of Neuchâtel, a beautiful and quiet lakeside town with a blend of French flair and Swiss precision is enchanting. On our walking tour we even tried absinthe right at a local fountain where it was mixed with the water. I was not a fan but it sure was a fun way to try it!

After the walking tour, we had free time to wander and enjoy lunch on our own. I strolled the streets, peeked into a few local shops, and grabbed a bite at a cozy café where I sat outside to enjoy the beautiful day.

In the afternoon, we boarded a train through the rolling Swiss countryside to visit Boudry Castle, a beautifully preserved hilltop fortress surrounded by vineyards. Here, we toured then enjoyed a wine tasting experience featuring regional Swiss wines.

We returned back to Neuchâtel for the evening, with more free time to relax and explore. on the day.
