Beautiful Utah
Our second day in Utah started bright and crisp in beautiful Park City. We departed for a day of exploring and hit the road toward our hike on the Stewart Cascades Trail, a scenic hike that wound through aspen groves with a waterfall cascading down a rocky cliffside.

After our hike, we continued to Sundance Mountain Resort. This charming alpine retreat has rustic lodge architecture, lush greenery, and mountain peaks in every direction. It was a quick stop and I grabbed a mint lavender lemonade to rehydrate.

Next was a quick detour to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo. We parked and walked the short distance to see the falls.

Next, we made our way to Midway, a picturesque town with a Swiss inspired feel. We wandered through local favorites like The Dainty Pear Co., Beljar Home, and Folklore Books. Next we stopped by the Homestead Resort. Its most famous feature is the Homestead Crater, a geothermal hot spring hidden inside a limestone dome where the water stays 90°F year-round. Guests can swim, soak, snorkel, or even scuba dive in this natural wonder. I wish we could have entered the waters but we did climb to the top and look down in the crater. We stopped at the Homestead specifically to visit the The Milk House, the resort’s cozy café serving coffee, pastries, homemade fudge, and ice cream. I grabbed an affogato.

We took the scenic route back to Park City, and stopped at Salt Box for dinner. We sat outside and they had live music. Back at our Airbnb, we sank into the hot tub for a great ending to a day.
