Glacier National Park
Day 3 – Waterton Lakes to Glacier National Park 🇺🇸
This morning we crossed the border into Montana’s Glacier National Park, but not before spotting two more bears from the bus and passing the towering Chief Mountain.

After a quick stop at St. Mary’s Visitor Center, we enjoyed lunch at the Snow Goose Grill at St. Mary Lodge and Resort. We then boarded one of the park’s historic red “jammer†buses to travel the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road. The views were stunning and such a fun way to travel in the park. We arrived to Logan Pass, standing at the Continental Divide. We did not have a lot of time so we wandered a bit before heading back into the red jammer bus to head back into Canada, specifically Waterton.

Back in Waterton for the evening, we decided to hike up Bear’s Hump with some new friends from our tour. The hike and walk to/from town was about two hours round trip and we even had another bear sighting when we arrived to the trail. Bear’s Hump trail path is located across from the Prince of Wales Hotel. It’s steep but worth it for the views.

We celebrated the hike with ice cream from The Big Scoop and a peaceful walk along the lake and encountered some more deer roaming the town. Tomorrow we leave Waterton for Banff, one of my favorite places!
